Medical Insurance
As of this time, I am contracted with Landmark Insurance company, Premier Provider Network, Inc. (PPNI), and OptumHealth which includes: United Healthcare, PacifiCare Health Systems, Medical Resource, LLC, and Spring Hill School. For patients covered by other insurance providers, I am able to assist with insurance billing if your plan covers acupuncture and will accept an out-of-network provider (usually this occurs with a P.P.O plan). Contact your medical insurance company to see if acupuncture is a covered service under your plan and if you are able to see providers out-of-network. Ask for specific details of coverage since these vary for each policy. Specifically ask about deductibles, diagnosis exclusion, number of visits allowed, and if there is a maximum amount paid for each visit. Patients are responsible for the portion of the fee not covered by the insurance company. Please note that insurance does not cover herbs and may not cover herbal or nutritional consultation, so this is 100% of the patient’s responsibility. Payment for acupuncture appointments may be used toward flexible spending accounts- talk to your employer about this program.
Cancellation Policy
Patients are asked to make any schedule changes or cancellations prior to 24 hours of their scheduled time. Patients will be charged the full service fee for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. Insurance does not cover missed appointments, so insurance patients will need to pay out-of-pocket for this fee.

Testimonials
K.B.
Daniela is a very knowledgable practioner of TCM and acupuncture, I highly recommend her. She is kind and has a very gentle and accommodating vibe as a practitioner. The office space is welcoming and always has tea available. The space has a very warm vibe and its super close to 18th and castro. What consistenly impresses me most about Daniela is that whenever I see her, she references recent lectures and workshops she has completed. She is really passionate about continuing to learn about advancements in TCM as well as more techniques and many other healing concepts and modalities. If you've never been to acupuncture (or are an acupuncture vet) Daniela is an excellent practioner to choose.
